Announcements

Message from GUAA President - Matt Clark, Munich Re

48th Annual GUAA Conference

As you have already seen from Mike Anderson’s and Jeff Beard’s recent announcements, we hope you are planning to join us at the Westin Nashville Hotel in Music City Center in Nashville! If you’ve already enrolled, we look forward to seeing you there! If still undecided, we hope you are seriously considering doing so.

The theme for this year’s Conference is “Underwriting the Future”. We are finalizing our draft agenda and will share when completed so you can review the session and topics we plan to focus on at this year’s annual meeting. We believe these represent some great opportunities to address emerging concerns and their impact on underwriting in which has been a volatile year for the economy and our group markets.

Beyond the many entertaining and cultural opportunities, the Music City offers, we have contracted to have our sponsored event at 27 LIVE on Monday, 5/20/2024!

Twenty-seven floors high above Nashville's bustling downtown, L27 is the city's ideal rooftop lounge retreat to unwind, sip, and, savor. We will be having a dinner buffet as well as a Nashville based entertainer, and professional photographer Matt Andrews will be there taking head shots for those interested in updating their LinkedIn pages or other social media needs with a professional new picture, come prepared if interested.

This year's conference promises to be a great one! Our keynote speaker, Mary Kelly, Commander, USN, CSP, CPAE, will share leadership lessons from her distinguished Navy career and experience as a university professor, economist, consultant and author in her presentation - Navigating Crises, Challenges, and Changes. James R. Slotnick will be joining us again to discuss the...
